About
My name is Keith Brophy and this piece of the web holds my take on where we are pushing technology (or is it the other way round?) and looking at how we can “Make Things Better”©.
Primarily a Java developer, I am a self-confessed gadget boy with an interest in social software and the collaborative side of the web.
I have ten years experience revolving around coding of all types. I made my start in Sun Microsystems and the Java Licensee Engineering Team and later moved into the PersonalJava development team. Following that, a move to Australia led to a period working with IBM on their CMS offering. I then joined the all-star team in Atlassian in their Sydney office working on the award winning issue tracker, JIRA. My last assignment involved working with the crew at Headshift where I customised another of Atlassian’s offerings: Confluence - the Enterprise wiki.
I am currently living in London, UK with my wife - who helps to keep my gadget obsession in check.
